After law school,
Lesley moved to San Francisco, California and was admitted to the California Bar in December of 2000. She worked in the Employee
Compensation & Benefits Group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe L.L.P. There she drafted and amended qualified retirement
plan documents including summary plan descriptions for private employer sponsored 401(k), profit-sharing and money purchase
pension plans. She also worked with employee stock purchase plans, stock option plans and agreements. Furthermore, she drafted
executive employment agreements and prepared Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
Lesley joined the Law
Office of Barbara A. Ginsberg in October of 2002. There she practiced a very specialized area of family law in that she
represented individuals with regard to the division of their retirement assets in divorce and legal separation proceedings.
This involved helping a party or the parties obtain the special type of court order needed to divide retirement plan benefits,
called a Qualified Domestic Relations Order or QDRO for short. She is proficient in gathering data from plan administrators,
drafting and customizing QDROs.
At this firm she also represented individuals with claims for benefits against
retirement plans, such as attaining disability pension benefits and investigating employee claims for benefits when the plan
administrator denies eligibility or entitlement to a pension.
In 2005 Lesley went out on her own and opened the
Law Office of Lesley Regina. Her office is located in San Ramon, California.
Lesley is a member of the State Bar
of California, the Alameda County Bar Association, the Contra Costa County Bar Association and the Eastern Alameda County
Bar Association. She is also on the Advisory Board for the Tri-Valley Regional Occupational Program's computer class.
Lesley practices family law and specializes in the division of retirement assets in divorce and legal separation actions.
